The Dining Room

Eating and drinking is at the heart of The Goring Hotel. Beneath its 71 luxurious bedrooms are a series of rooms dedicated to good food and wine. At the far end of the hotel you are transported into the cathedral of light, that is the Goring's Dining Room. Newly refurbished by Linley, England's most famous furniture maker, the Dining Room provides the perfect backdrop for a sumptuous meal. For the evening the Swarovski chandeliers are lowered to create a more intimate atmosphere.

The Veranda

Overlooking the hotel's private garden, the largest of its kind in London, the Veranda at the Goring provides a unique casual dining experience. What better way to start the day than a light breakfast in the fresh air, and perhaps a glass of champagne!

Lunches and dinner are also served on the Veranda. Whether a light sandwich, or a more substantial grilled fillet steak with chips and béarnaise sauce or the sensational glazed Scottish Lobster Omelette, there is something here for everyone.

The Bar

Whether unwinding with a long refreshing drink after experiencing the sights of London, or melting into the aromas of a fine cognac before retiring to bed, the Garden Bar is the perfect setting.

Bar Manager Brian Kinsellas has laden the bar shelves with an array of liqueurs and spirits. The top shelf is adorned with a spectrum of fine single malts, whilst below that are Gins, Vodkas and Whiskies from across the globe in the veritable company of some of the most exclusive Cognacs. And don't be surprised if on your second visit, your favourite tipple is already poured and on the bar!

The Lounge Bar

Favoured by both hotel residents and Londoners alike, the Lounge Bar is one of London's busiest and most thriving venues. On a typical evening, expect to see a fascinating cross section of clientele from all walks of society, sipping on champagne poured from endless magnums and nibbling on canapés.

The area has a regal elegance where guests can still find relaxation in the midst of an exciting buzz. Order your favourite drink, sink into the comfort of a glorious soft leather armchair and don't forget to sample the delicious homemade cheese straws! For the wine connoisseur, choose from one of Mr Jeremy Goring's personally chosen wines by the glass.

The Terrace

Traditional afternoon tea is a meal surrounded by etiquette and strange customs, first introduced in the early Nineteenth Century. The meal was invented by Anna, Duchess of Bedford to fill the time between early luncheon and dinner.

On the Goring Terrace, Traditional Afternoon tea has become a dining experience in its own right. Have a pot of the hotel's own special blend of tea, served at the Goring for fifty years, or choose from a wide array of blended, Indian and China teas. Then work your way up the three tiered silver stand, starting with an assortment of freshly prepared sandwiches, then moving on to freshly baked, warm homemade scones with Devonshire Clotted cream and Jams, before polishing off with a selection of traditional homemade pastries, Goring fruit cake and miniature Sacher Torte with Chantilly Cream.

Served daily on the Terrace, overlooking the private garden.
